Women of Other Worlds
During the last few years, my profession as a photographer has led me to delve into the complex space in which I live, focusing on a visual search for the vast number of migrants that now call this country home. Marked by the cruelty of distance and the optimism of hope, my camera captures precisely these women of other worlds who one day packed their memories into a double-bottomed bag in search of a more promising present for themselves and a better future for their children. In these journeys, they carry their memories and experiences, which define their paths and decisions. These images seek to uncover their rich and detailed histories.

Each of my photographs begins as a conversation that is revealed on two planes: the word and the image. Both are articulated in the same end, and one does not disregard the other.
I have become accustomed to understanding people and telling stories in this way, seeking the true self and looking beyond the surface.
I am determined to find the dichotomy between what is reflected and what is true.

My portfolio
3 projectsI try to create powerful imagery by focusing on the stories that are told without speaking. I'm always trying out new styles & techniques, and delving into them through an emotional lens. Take a look at a selection of my projects and studies below.
